VideoVulcan Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 28, 2026
VideoVulcan turns your own photos into AI-generated movies.
VideoVulcan uses your selected photos, prompt, and style choice to create short AI-generated movies.
Effective date: September 28, 2026.
This Privacy Policy applies to the Android app VideoVulcan, operated by Snippai LLC. VideoVulcan turns a few of your own photos and one line of text into a short AI-generated movie. VideoVulcan is offered in the United States only for now and is for adults 18 and older.
1. Data We Collect
- Google account information. When you first tap Mint My Movie, Google Sign-In may provide your email, Google account ID, and name.
- Hashed identifiers. We keep one-way hashed forms of your Google account ID and Android device ID to prevent repeated free Mint claims.
- Uploaded photos. You pick 3 to 8 photos with the Android photo picker. VideoVulcan does not request broad photo-library access.
- Prompt and style preset. Your one-line prompt and chosen style are used to write and render the movie.
- Generated movie, thumbnail, script, and shot plan. These power the Library, replay, and download flow.
- Purchase and Mint data. Google Play and RevenueCat provide purchase, subscription, Mint balance, ledger, and refund data.
- Usage counters and reports. We track generation attempts, job status, timings, and reports you file.
- Push notification token. Only if you allow notifications.
- Server logs. Request metadata and errors may be kept for security and debugging.
2. What We Do Not Collect in v1.0
- No advertising SDKs, advertising ID, analytics SDK, or crash-reporting SDK.
- No location, contacts, microphone, or camera permission.
- No facial recognition, face templates, faceprints, or biometric identifiers.
- No sale of data and no use of data for advertising.
3. Third-Party Processors
- Google provides Google Sign-In and Google Play Billing.
- RevenueCat validates purchases and subscription state.
- Google Gemini API receives photos and prompts for moderation, and receives the cast list plus prompt for script and shot-plan generation. Anthropic Claude API may be used for the same tasks as an alternate provider.
- Google Gemini 2.5 Flash Image receives selected uploaded photos to generate stylized portrait references before video rendering.
- Seedance 2.0, accessed through Poyo.ai (or PiAPI as an alternate), receives stylized portrait reference image URLs and render prompts to generate video.
- Expo Push Service and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging deliver optional premiere notifications.
- Hume AI receives a preset text brief and sanitized music-cue direction to generate the voice/audio texture layer.
4. Retention
- Uploaded photos are deleted 30 days after upload, and also on account deletion.
- Generated movies, thumbnails, scripts, and shot plans are kept until you delete the movie or your account, where supported by the app flow.
- Account deletion removes movies and any remaining photos within 30 days.
- The free-Mint dedupe hashes are kept after account deletion and are not linked to an account.
- Ledger, moderation, and RevenueCat event records may be anonymized and kept for accounting, audit, and abuse-prevention purposes.
- Server logs are kept for up to 14 days.
5. Deleting Your Account
You can delete your VideoVulcan account in the app under Settings → Delete account. A web deletion option is also available. See Delete your VideoVulcan account.
6. Children and Age
VideoVulcan is for adults 18 and older. Do not use VideoVulcan if you are under 18. If uploaded photos include children, the adult account holder must have the authority to consent on the child's behalf.
7. Changes
We may update this privacy policy. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date and, for material app changes, may also be shown in the app.
